Filc special designed nonwoven materials are used together with plastic polymers in the tools for thermal pressing. Their function is to protect the visible (decorative) side of the plastic part to prevent glue or melted polymer from penetrating through the decorative finish. At the same time the layer of nonwoven textile works as a bonding layer which connects the plastic polymer carrier with the decorative finish material.
